Try Outs

FC Nova will NOT be having "official" tryouts for the older teams this year and will be by appointment only. The coaches plan on having rosters completed and finalized prior to actual tryout dates(June 4 & 6 at Nova Complex). For returning players, we have a few key dates:

May 24 :  Players need to be Pre-registered in Bonzi (if players aren't pre-registered by this date, then they will be accounted for as a NON-COMMITTED current member and must go through a training assessment session).  Click here to read Bonzi instructions

HOMEWORK DUE 3/13/12

U15 players,

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT and please pass to your players and have them go over this email if they do not receive it directly. The following exercise will help you as a player establish team standards and expectations. As always, the sum of the team is stronger than the one individual. Some of the discussion will be about last year but most of it will be about the upcoming year.

Click here to see Homework, print out, complete, and turn it in to me by 3/13/2012. I will than collect the information and assess the key points. We will than go over the assessment as a team and establish team results/standards during a team meeting about a week later.

There will be consequences if I do not receive this from you from reduced playing time to fitness work. Please let me know if you have any questions about the questionnaire, activity, or anything else.

Cancelled IYSA Games 3/3/12

From Craig EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IDAHO YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION:
City Parks and Rec have CLOSED ALL CITY PARKS TO SPORTS as of today and through the weekend. This mean that ALL SIMPLOT AND OPTIMIST GAMES FOR THIS WEEKEND ARE CONSIDERED CANCELLED AT THIS TIME GAMES IN OTHER LOCATIONS WILL STILL TAKE PLACE PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD. We do not know about reschedules at this time. Obviously we only have so many weeks to play the season so we will check all available time slots and see if we can still fit in the games. More information to follow as we get it.

GRFC Winter Classic Results

Our U15 Nova Elite team played very well and tied both their games on Saturday.  All Saturday 7:15 p.m. games were cancelled due to inclement weather.  Even though all games had not been played, the top teams from each bracket and top 2nd place team played in the semi-final on Monday(1/16/12).

A new tab has been added to the Team Account called "Payment Due Dates".  This spreadsheet indicates when payment for certain event costs are due to the team treasurer.
